A few of us girls came out to the Galveston area for a girls trip and we wanted to do some fishing. After looking through dozens of charter listings, I came across Captain Mike’s Guide Service. He had availability for the next morning and was very responsive to my messages. The boat was very comfortable for the three of us plus Captain Mike. He was well stocked with bait (even though I was handing out free shrimp all day), knowledgeable about the fish we caught, and even recommended a great place to take our fresh catch to have it cooked up (Huli Huli Hut was so good!) We had the best time catching sharks and chasing after the bull redfish with Captain Mike. 10/10 recommend booking your next charter trip with Captain Mike’s Guide Service!!

Captain Mike was fantastic for the conditions we were presented with. It was hot (Mid 90’s) with a light breeze and the fish were harder to locate for a fair portion of the day with just enough of a bite to keep us interested. He stayed after it for the whole trip and eventually put me on a spot where we pulled out a fair number of Spotted Trout, Sheepshead, a slot Redfish, and even a Pompano. All in all, it was a fantastic day and I’d love to book again with him again next time.
