First of all: this was an awesome fishing trip with an awesome fishing guide - Nikola! He knows exactly what he is doing, knows the best spots, always has an alternative if one technique doesn’t work and he answered all of my questions regarding fishing, with much knowledge and many details. And I was asking a lot… I really liked that he obviously enjoys to share his knowledge and that he is a real passionated fisherman.

On this half day fishing trip the guide introduced us to: catching bait fish (small ones like the “Mediterranean horse mackerel” shown on the photo) and trolling them behind the boat over some good spots to probably catch some “Bluefish” or “Leerfish”. We used multiple techniques to catch some bait fish and changed the spot dynamic to get them. Also here Nikola always had a plan B. Therefore some baits were caught successfully. Then we moved to spots for trolling the baits, saw some really good fish on the sonar but unfortunately they did not want to bite this day.

Another fishing trip with him is totally sure and I can recommend fishing with Nikola to everyone who wants to have an amazing day on the water with hopefully big fish. :)

Crazy mayhem bluefin tuna fishing! We were five guys from Sweden who experienced a fantastic spin fishing for bluefin tuna. I’m just saying… Spin fishing… cast and hold the rod directly in your hand and feel the brutal bite from these “waterwolfes” cannot even be described. It must be experienced. I recommend going with Nikola Mijandrušič and eFISHent to get a chance to experience the “fish fight” of your life with these strong fish that almost rip the rod from you when it bites. Nikola Mijandrušič is an incredibly good guide and above that a really great guy that will do his best to give you the chance to go a couple of rounds with total tuna mayhem! Thanks for having us. NIKOLA RULES!!!!

We had an almost perfekt day with, a lot of different species of fish. Unfortunately i came pretty close to a poison “Petermännchen” so my hand hurts much. All together the trip was very interesting, i’ll do it again next year.

Nikola is an excellent fishing guide with lots of local knowledge of the area. I stayed at his accommodation near Porec (ask him when you book) and we went for a nearshore Dentex trip as they were in season. We used live squid as bait, and the sonar was marking fish over the course of the trip but they just weren’t in the mood to bite. Nikola stayed an extra hour hoping we could entice a bite, but still no luck. In the end we had to call it a day. The trip was a great experience overall and I will surely book with him again when I’m back in Porec.
