What a fantastic fishing trip!!! The boat was super clean and well cared for. The Captain was a very knowledgeable and worked hard to put us on some fish. We ended up catching a handful of tarpon to our delight! The fight was fun and the fish were BIG!!! Using this outfitter again at the end of the week.

I had a fantastic trip with Captain Javier. It was my first time fishing for tarpon and I wasn’t sure if it was something I would really enjoy. Javier knew right where they were and tried several methods to get them on the line. I managed to land one and let another get away.

The fish itself was a serious challenge for an inexperienced angler, and I’m sure it would still be challenging for anyone not experienced with tarpon. It was a great sense of accomplishment to actually land one of these peculiar fish!

Javier was great and so was his boat. You can tell he is a professional and he loves what he does. It always shows when someone really cares for their equipment, and Javier does.

I would do this trip again. If I’m in Puerto Rico in the future, Captain Javier is going to be the first person I call.

Santiago is a fantastic captain for your next fishing trip!  We’ve been on fishing trips all over the world and he is Knowledgeable, easy going, fun and best of all he catches FISH!!!!  We went on a 4 hr tour and caught 5 fish.  The largest was well over 100 lbs and provided entertainment all morning.  GREAT TIME and highly recommend going with Reel Addiction to catch fish.

2 guys don’t really have much experience and I have fished many times before

We got set up and the first and only spot we went to was about 3 min away from the actual boat dock where we took off from and stayed in that one spot the entire time which was kind of off putting especially after the bite reallly did not pick up. and after the first fish was caught the captain seemed very rude or harsh. He even yanked a rod out of my buddies hands when we was trying to reel a fish in. I understand he might not be the best fisher and know how to fight a fish properly but he can understand Spanish and he could have easily explained or gave tips on how to bring it it in properly. The other issue was just the general feeling of not being able to touch a fishing rod unless there was a self hooked fish. From letting the rod sit in the holder.  we could not touch the rods and if we did Santiago would get kind of flustered when we touched the rods and it made my 2 guests feel very uncomfortable and did not want to fish anymore. It could be a language barrier since we are from the United States. And they do understand Spanish but they felt very uncomfortable and wanted to leave early.

I would not recommend this trip unless you know what your really getting into which is you pull up to one spot and he sets the rods up and you don’t touch a thing until a fish “self hooks it self” then you can proceed to pick up a fishing rod.

Just not a general good experience. We did end up catching 3 small tarpons. Which I am very thankful for but I have been on many fishing charters or trips and this one has been one of my least favorite experiences of all.

With a very short notice my wife and I booked a trip and we’re very happy that we did. The minute we pulled out of the dock we seen tarpon. We hooked 15 fish and landed 11. Great time with a great captain.
