Capt. Jim was great.  He really knows the water and how to find the fish. His boat and gear are in great shape. His instructions were spot on. We went out with him under less than ideal tide conditions. Man did he get us on the fish. He worked hard, moving from spot to spot as the conditions changed, retying the lines when fish broke them off and making sure we had the right bait in the water for the location.  First thing in the morning I hooked up with a 80# tarpon, a first for me that I will never forget. If you have never fought a good size tarpon on light gear, it is fun and a workout. We also caught a nice snook, a redfish, and several sea trout. There were a few snapper, catfish, etc thrown in the mix too. We had a couple sharks on the line for a while, and he got me on a very large snook that broke off my line (my fault, not Capt. Jim’s). 100% if you want to catch some very nice fish, go with Capt. Jim. I will be going back out with him the next time I am in town. 5 Star all the way, if you want a great fishing trip Capt. Jim is your man.

Captain Jim is extremely knowledgeable and can definitely get you to where the fish are. Catching them is your job. We had a great time and learned many new techniques that we will put to good use in the future. Thanks Jim. Can’t wait to do it again.

Took my wife and grandson fishing.  The tide was unfavorable so the bite wasn’t as strong as it could have been, but Captain Jim worked hard with my wife and grandson to get them some fish (could have caught more if they had paid better attention and followed instructions).  He stayed out with us past our scheduled time, and then let my grandson drive the boat back in.  Would definitely do again.

An hour into the fishing trip, I hooked a huge tarpon! Captain Jim was by my side the whole time, providing help and guidance, until the fish was next to the boat and released. What a great time, many thanks to Captain Jim!

Captain will put you on the fish and tell you exactly what to do to catch them. Had an amazing time and caught multiple fish out of every spot. Will definitely schedule future charters with him. A great guy!
