Took my 12 year old son out with Capt Ryan.  Great trip with lots of action - we caught redfish, black drum, trout, ladyfish and jacks. We also had a large tarpon on briefly before jumping and pulling the hook (the tarpon run was just beginning so was fun to have a shot at one). Excellent experience, Captain Ryan used his vast knowledge of the river to repeatedly put us on the fish.  Along with catching fish, Captain Ryan was willing to share his knowledge of the river, fishing spots, and techniques.  I caught 8 or 9 large fish; snook, tarpon, jack, and 5 or 6 speckled trout. Ryan provided a great experience. He met us at the appointed time and we were fishing within a few minutes of departure. A nice variety of species were caught including trout, redfish, snook, and catfish. Ryan definitely knows where fish are biting within the greater lagoon area. We’d recommend Hook-n-Reel to both beginners and experienced anglers.
