I booked a 5 hour jetty trip with my 16 year old son and my father in law.  Captain Rex brought us to a verified hot spot and we slammed tons of sheephead and even snagged a big redfish!  The captain had lots of shrimp, fast boat, extensive knowledge of fishing techniques making the whole trip a success! He even extended the trip so we could have an opportunity to snag a big drum or a shark!  He even had some of his friends help filet our catch since we all caught our limit. We will definitely look up captain Rex for any future fishing trips!  HIGHLY recommend Captain Rex and Ocean Outlaws!

Our planned trip was going to be on Wednesday, during spring break. Rex called me Saturday to see if we were flexible on the date, as he was concerned about the weather.  Rex said that Monday was looking like the better day and would keep the date open for us if we were available. I’m glad that they were able to move us , because our original date turned out to be pretty windy. Many points for that!
Our kids, ages 9-17, the oldest (our only daughter) kicked butt. She caught a small shark and the biggest black drum. The wife caught the second biggest drum.

We went out to the end of the jetty to get some sheepshead? We were there among several other boats and we were kicking butt, caught 17 and a few toad fish.
The boat was plenty roomy for 4 kids and their parents and the bean bags were a nice touch for the kids to rest on.
The closed restroom was good for the ladies. (One of the reasons for choosing Outlaw Charters)
It was an awesome time with the family and the highlight of our spring break vacation.
Captain Rex did a GREAT job and I can’t thank him enough.

I don’t normally feel the need to share on social media, but I believe I need to take a moment and recognize two individuals. Captain Bubba Justice with Ocean Outlaw Fishing Charters and Captain Tanner Baggett with 2 Reel Charters. I was one of the veterans that was drawn to participate in this year’s Veterans Summer Slam offshore fishing tournament. These two gentlemen volunteered their time, money, equipment, and beautiful boat so that myself and three other veterans could enjoy a day on the water. To just say we had a good time is an understatement. We all walked away with many great memories to tell of our trip. They are both extremely knowledgeable, patient, and professional. They treated us as if we were part of their fishing crew and in the process put us on some unbelievable Red Snapper fishing. If you have an inkling to go fishing and are looking for great guides, I highly recommend looking into these two captains. They guide both inshore and offshore trips out of Galveston. You won’t be disappointed.

Can’t say enough great things about Captain Bubba and our day on the water. Conditions weren’t ideal, but they could have been worse yet Bubba put us on some fish! He called and gave us the opportunity to cancel/reschedule ahead of time due to high winds and some rain but since we drove in from out of town we risked it, and I’m glad we did. We got reds, trout, drum, all the things we hoped too. And Captain bubba was awesome. It was my son’s 10th birthday trip and he made sure to make it memorable. Thanks Captain for the memories and wonderful time. We’ll be back!

As a professional fishing guide myself (inshore) I often tell people that the best thing about chartering other guides is that it shows me what a good guide I am.
This was not the case with Captain Bubba.
From equipment and knowledge to their Texas hospitality, Bubba and his crew were everything I could expect from an offshore fishing trip. Ocean Outlaw is that good, and I’m hard to please when it comes to fishing.
