I met the Captain Nuno and his sailor Paul at the local cafe where they bought breakfast and lunch for the trip (fresh pastries and ham and cheese sandwiches), they were friendly and on time. I was the only fisherman for the day! We drove a few miles out to sea while they told me about the sights and they spoke English well which was helpful as I had been start with the language. My boyfriend and I went on a full day winter trip with Captain Nuno and had an excellent time. Weather was beautiful, boat was well maintained, and the Captain and crew were knowledgeable, helpful, and spoke good English. Caught cuttlefish, squid, and a variety of fish throughout the day. Keep in mind that the usual timeframe is departing at 6:30am and returning to the dock at 5:30pm, so it is truly a full day of fishing.
