We had a nice preview to the upcoming red snapper season.We doubled down on the reds, meaning one red fish and one red snapper landed, photographed released and over 80 Black seabass caught and released.

Recently took my 10 and 12 year old sons out on Double Down. Captain David made sure it was an awesome time. Great with coaching and helping the kids and taking extra time and caution in some pretty rough seas. Non stop fish on hooks, black sea bass, cobia, and everything in between. These fellows know how to fish, even at 10 years. We gad a great day fishing and sharing our Veterans years and family storys. The seas and winds are on the strong side this time of year, so navigating with caution as we did was practical and prudent. I had a blast with Double Down Charters. We chased the fish down. Captain Tucker was is the Man! His knowledge and skill put us on fish. He brought snacks, drinks, booming sound system, and all the gear we needed. The 2 mates, Tony and Robert were attentive and courteous. Our lines stayed refreshed and tight the entire trip. I caught several varieties of and learned about the biology and habit of the targeted species. I had a great time. 5 stars all the way around.

I have been coming to St Simon’s Island for 50 years. I have been fishing with many different charters over those years. This is the best charter I have ever experienced. Captain Dave is relentless and his efforts to catch fish! The Boston Whaler is comfortable, clean and well equipped. My granddaughter and I, and a good friend, had the best day ever.!
