Not even sure where to begin. Spoke with captain night before. Everything was a go and weather was fine. Was told my gulf shore trip booking was actually a 45 minute ride to a Pensacola launch the next morning. So, we showed up an hour early to ensure we didn’t delay things on our end( if I’m not early, I’m late). Called the captain then as he requested to let him know we were there. He said he was on his way. However, when he reported 45 minutes later, he informed us that the weather wouldn’t work for offshore and we could cancel. Not sure why there wasn’t better communication in this respect as he had wasted about 2 hours of our time already. And, since this was a wedding gift, the newlyweds decided to go anyway. We ran to one designated spot where we originally had caught a couple snappers, but when the dolphins can’t in, that was over. We never tried another location. We were baiting all our own hooks after the first 20 minutes, when there was bait available. We only had one bait bucket on the bow for the 4 of us. No kidding at all, spent a great deal of time waiting for new bait to be cut or handed out. The captain spent at least 35-40 minutes total talking to future customers on the boat. Surely, he wasn’t taught that this was good customer service in any manner. He cut our trip to 3 hours and headed back as we were completely out of bait and it was too rough for the young captain. I can assure you that the weather hadn’t changed any since our ride out to the fishing hole and all 4 of us had grown accustomed to rocking boat. When we returned to the dock, the young captain then tried up charging me for the 3.2 inland trip to almost back where my original 5 hour offshore cost would’ve been. That didn’t happen but did reflect the integrity or lack thereof for this guide service. My new son in law works in law enforcement and I’m a retired coastline, and I can assure you we wouldn’t utilize their service again nor refer anyone else. For such a sunny and hot day, sure was shady!!!

Been on many trips in Panama City…didn’t catch much, wasn’t able to keep none of what little we did catch. Reels were to small, not big for really really fishing. Not impressed at all. Paid 400, had 100 in my pocket for a tip, like I’ve tipped previous captains, but didn’t feel this was worth it. No tip.

The water was rough most of the day and the boat couldn’t troll properly to stay over a fishing spot to catch enough fish without drifting away.  Captain worked hard on alternatives w/anchor to keep us over a spot but it was a rough day.  We managed to catch 2 fish we could keep…we did have two guys that were sea sick most of the day so that didn’t help either.  Tough day.
