It's still early spring in New England. The weather is cold and often rainy. I've been hard at work on my boat, getting it ready for the coming season. The boat will have brand-new fuel tanks and a new autopilot system. I'm looking forward to the season, catch a few fish, have some some laughs.

We've been getting out between bad weather. Running cod and blackfish trips right now. Some good fishing. We've been fishing around Block Island and also off Newport.

This is the time of year to fish. Blackfish, cod, sea bass, and more. It's a great time to grab a bottom fishing charter.

We've been busy. Fishing, for the most part, has been good. There has been rain and fog, which I think, for now, has lifted and faded away. Plenty of smiles nonetheless. Most of our trips have been bottom fishing trips for fluke and sea bass. Though, that doesn't mean, we won't target some light tackle bluefish and striped bass. The past week, we've also seen some cool marine wildlife--sharks, sea birds, and dolphins. It's a beautiful time of year to be on the Atlantic Ocean

We've been catching some big fluke lately. That has been a key target species for us. We don't get a giant every trip but we do get some large fish. We love our fluking---it's good summer fun. The one in the photo above was caught on a Gulp and squid in 70 feet of water. We were only three miles from shore.

It's been a while since my last post. We've been busy, often running two charters a day. Been having a blast. Fishing is generally good. We've been mostly bottom fishing for fluke and sea bass.
