We had them good. It didn't start that way, started slow, with each of us looking at one another, blank stares. But then we found them. Just west of a boulder field. Right at the end of the day. The fish weren't huge. But we caught. I've always loved pulling fish up from the depths. There is that moment of mystery--what is it? Then you see it, and often--even after seeing many fish--often were are taken by how cool and pretty these bottom fish are. That beauty is in their scales, that is where they hold it.

In southern New England, we get flows and runs of fish. Most of our species migrate out of our waters in the winter, returning in the spring. These spring runs are the migrations that all fishermen talk about and count on. Well, the fish are here. We've seen pulses of scup, sea bass, stripers and blues. It's good action and should continue for weeks. I love June, something about it. Book a trip with us. I think you'll love it.

We fished around the Island. The fish were close in. Even though I see this place nearly daily the beauty of this place never fades.

Had a good day of bass and bluefishing today. Great weather. Fished around Block Island. Everyone had a blast.

The incoming tide had the striped bass and bluefish up on the Ledge yesterday. The fish were eating tiny sand eels and at first were fairly hard to fool. But then the afternoon sun dipped lower in the sky and that triggered the fish to bite. The boys had sore arms after an hour of red hot action.

First trip of the year is done with. Boat is running great. This spring,I added a brand-new toilet and a comfy bench for people to hang out on. I look forward to fishing with you.
