Capt Tyler knows the bay and where the fish hide.  Within 5 min of setting rods my daughter was hooked on a good trout.  We had 3/4 of our limit within a half hour. So we switched from trolling to jigging.  Capt Tyler had about a dozen jigging spots.  There were fish at all of them.  Lots of fish, and huge balls of bait.  Capt Tylers electronics on his boat are top notch.  He can see your jig, bait and the trout on the sonar and guide your jig to the exact depth.  He can even see fish moving to check out your jig and can tell by their behavior if they’ll bite.  And he was right 80% of the time.  Capt Tyler was a great teacher to my daughter and had her jigging like a pro in 10min.  My daughter caught most of the fish. Jigging is a great opportunity to get a big laker on light tackle.  The fish are a 10min boat ride from the launch, the bay is calm and the fish are there Tyler knows where and how to catch them.

Wow! Words cannot describe how much this fishing charter elevated our trip. Captain Tyler is exactly who you’d want as your Captain and fishing guide on beautiful Lake Michigan. Very knowledgeable, easy going, laid back allowing you to feel at home on his boat. He offered us the option to play music through his speakers, drink & enjoy ourselves. :) There is also a bathroom available. Was a smooth ride all around. We caught 3 trout in the first hour and everyone limited out by the end of our ride. We were able to take home the fish we caught and had fun watching on as Captain Tyler cleaned & fileted our fish for us. Throughout the charter Captain Tyler took beautiful photos of us (we attached a few to this review). We learned a lot, had a blast & broke our record for biggest catch.
