We went on a half day fishing trip with Captain Zach.  My 7 year old son couldn’t be more excited!  We started out catching the bait fish and Captain Zach knew just where to go.  My son loved pulling in 5-6 fish at a time.  It was fun to instantaneously catch lots of fish!  My son could reel in the fish and enjoyed the time.  Next, we went out to deeper water.  Again, the Captain seemed to know where to go and knew right away if we would catch fish or needed to go somewhere else.  We caught several fish.  At end of the trip my father hooked a sail fish.  The Captain gave good instructions about how to reel in the fish.  It was a highlight for my father and he still talks about “catching the big one”.

We have been fishing out of the Destin harbor on the beautiful Gulf of Mexico for many years, with several experienced private charter boats. Our trip with Captain Zach on the Malia Ann was the best experience we have ever had. We caught more mackerel than we had even hoped for, taking home our limit for the day, thanks to his expertise and knowledge of the Gulf. It was laid back, relaxing, and awesome. Capt Zach sent me a couple of recipes for cooking up our catch afterwards, and they were delicious! I highly recommend him and the Malia Ann, and we would definitely book again.

Had a double booking hick up this morning, but it all seemed to work out as my 10 year old son got to experience a good time catching some fish. Zach and Brodie were fun to hang with and were straight up from the get go. Will definitely do it again..
