We did a 3/4 day near shore trip. Caught 41 fish( keepers). False Albecore, Blue fish, Amberjack, Sea bass, Trigger fish. Capt Ralph had us going crazy. There were three of us fishing, and at times, 5 lines at a time with fish on while we trolled. Mason( 1st mate) worked his tail off supporting us. Cap and mate worked well together. Look no further if you’re going to charter fish the OBX.

Captain and first mate mason, were very friendly and personable and Very cool people. We Caught a good amount of fish for the short 4 hour tour and had a great time. The boat is amazing, the captain navigated beautifully. and first mate mason handled everything like a pro. Def recommend for any family looking for an easy going, good quality fishing trip.

Captains Ralph was a fine gentleman and very accommodating to our needs. Mason a great mate. Mason was passionate for his work and worked hard all day. We caught a limit of mahi plus hooked up on two white marlin. The crew was awesome the conversations were just as much fun as catching the fish. I highly recommend fishing with this crew.

We had a great experience fishing with Ralph and Mason! They were both super friendly and knowledgeable! We took our 3 kids (2,11, and 15) and they all had a great time! It was very kid friendly! They had a bean bag chair in the cabin that laid right by the ac unit and the kids took turns cooling off there! It was perfect! We caught 28 fish and then had them cooked at the marina restaurant which was great!  We’d definitely book with them again and highly recommend!

Took a trip on the Hayden Express with Captain Ralph and deckhand Mason. Ralph knows his stuff—got us on the fish quickly and we hit our limit before the trip was over. Mason kept the lines in the water and the vibe light with some good banter. Back at the marina, we had our catch cleaned and fried up right there. It was fresh, crispy, and damn good—fed us for the whole week. If you want a fishing trip with a crew that delivers, Hayden Express is a safe bet. I’d go again.
