August has started out strong. Weather has been working in our favor and fishing offshore has been very goid. Our catches have been a mix of kings, cohos, steelhead and even boated atlantic salmon off shore. I only have a couple of opportunities left this month to get out, if you want to get in on the action book now. Still some opportunities left in September as well. Capt Chris

I feel like were at the tail end of our “June Transition” fishing. The fishing the last few weeks has been tough, mostly catching lake trout. This weekend I decided to put the time in abd find some silver fish. Fridsy evening was a nice scouting trip, trilled north and hit our first bite in 225 feet of wster. Had a strady pick the rest of the even, boated a couple small kings and chunky steelhead. Lost a few fish, with one breing a screamer. Saturday that same wster produced for us, a couple small kings that went back, and 5 that went in the box. Lost another 4 fish that we really wanted back. Not crazy fishing, but a steady bite with some nice fish mixed in. Looking forward to whats coming in the next month. Things are getting good.

Just finalized a purchase of a new to me boat. She's a 28' Penn Yann, powered by twin 350 Crusader engines. She's got all the amenities onboard for your comfort and to put fish in the cooler. I still have some equipment items that need to be buttoned up, but should have her in the water and ready to fish by mid April. I'm very excited for another great season on Lake Ontario. Anglers are already catching solid numbers of brown trout, both trolling in boats and catching fish from shore. Get in on the action this year and book a your fishing trip with me. Capt. Chris

Great fishing this year on the Lake, best we’ve seen in 10 years. Multiple hook uos are common, with a fire drill in yhe back. Decent class of fish coming over tge rail.

It's looking like an early spring here Western NY, and the fishing is already starting to heat up with good brown trout fishing along the lake shore. I personally took advantage of the early bite this week and fished from shore one evening, and the fish did not disappoint. Landed a handful of fish, a couple of those fish were 5-6 lbs a piece. A lot of fun on light duty spinning gear. I'm currently in the process of getting the Small Fortune ready for the water. Just a few minor boat projects, going through tackle, and add the electronics and she'll be ready to fish. My schedule has changed some this year, but it is currently up to date for the entire season, and there are a couple of opportunities to still get on the books for an April brown trout fishing trip. There are also plenty of summer dates to choose from as well. Nice June weather this past Sunday with a group of great guys. They have been repeat customers for 5 seasons, always love having these guys on the boat. The fishing was good too, with a nice class of solid kings in the 17-21 lbs range, with some smaller kings, lake trout, and one steelhead in the mix as well. Those big kings hit hard and made some long runs, really exciting battles. Even finished the trip right at the end with an 18lb king, we put the boat in neutral and it was just Dave and the fish, no help from from the boat at all. My date book is pretty much filled up for the summer. Labor Day weekend remains open, and the month of September is also open.
