We have two full time in-house captains/owners with five other part-time/contract captains. Capt. Ethan Williams is a licensed and registered USCG Maritime Captain. His love for fishing started at a very young age. Having lived all over the United States, Ethan has been able to learn many tricks of the trade in both saltwater and freshwater. While attending Clemson University, Ethan worked in SW Florida as a mate on some of the best fishing boats in the world. There he was featured on several different television shows, magazines articles and radio shows. After his graduation, Ethan brought his skill set to the Lowcountry and became a captain, so he may share his love and knowledge for fishing with others. Ethan likes to spend his free time on the water continuously learning more about new areas and the fish that inhabit them. When he is not out exploring the waterways, Ethan will be with his family and friends enjoying all the many activities Charleston has to offer or traveling to new, global destinations. Ethan's passion for the outdoors is easily noticed as soon as you step on board with him. He will be sure you have an amazing experience. Capt. Brandon Hartman is a licensed and registered USCG Maritime Captain, born with fishing in his blood. With a background in professional bass fishing, Bandon traveled the country for over 8 years fishing the FLW tour along with many other professional tours. After winning on multiple levels, he decided to settle down to his roots in the Carolinas and grow a second profession in fishing as a saltwater charter captain, giving Brandon over 25 years of fishing experience in saltwater and fresh. Just as he did on the FLW tour, Brandon spends his free time chasing new waters and countless fish including inshore, nearshore, and blue water pelagic species. When Brandon is not on the water he spends his time with his beautiful wife, Taylor, his son, Jennings, and their many animals. Brandon has an enormous passion for the fishing industry, and, with his outgoing personality, makes for a great experience on the water.

    Great Dad and Son Adventure

    3 Hour Trip – Shark Fishing2 adults

Captain Bryce was great. We started off o ou 3 hour Shark fishing trip catching two small sharks. We had three more on the lines but lost them before we were able to get them on. they must have been big as it was a good fight. We did also catch 27+ and a 35 inch Red. Only able to brin one onboard. technically left empty handed but not because of Captain. They were too small or too big. Capt. Bryce also took care of the ride with my lower back pain and was able to keep us mostly dry with thunderstorms in the area. Really great trip.

Singles, Doubles, Triples!!!

May 7, 2024 • Mount Pleasant
What a day with these gentlemen from Canada!! The fish were happy and hungry from the start of the trip. The drag never stopped screaming! The warm spring days and negative low tides cause these redfish to school up in tight areas. They were devouring libe shrimp under corks in 8-16 inches of water! We were actually watching the fish eat our baits. There were numerous double hookups with a few triples thrown in as well! Give us a call asap to get on the schedule! Our boats our booking up fast!

Nearshore Bite is Firing Off!!

Apr 14, 2024 • Mount Pleasant
All I can say is WOW!!! What a day. We were able to make it 25-30 miles out to some nearshore ledges and reefs. It was well worth the ride. Grouper, Snapper of different varieties, triggerfish, mackerel and sharks were roaming around, and they were hungry! Frozen squid was the main bait of choice. It would only be on the bottom for seconds before a fish was on the hook. A few sharks took advantage of the easy meal as we were bringing them up which led to a real hard fight! The anglers took home a cooler full of fish to put in the freezer. Give us a call asap to get on the books! GROUPER SEASON OPENS SOON!!! If nearshore is not what you would like to do, the inshore bite is still going off as well!

Cold Front & Heavy Winds

Apr 8, 2024 • Mount Pleasant
A cold front brought strong winds and much cooler weather to the area for a couple days. We were still able to get out and find hungry fish that were out of the wind. They are still in their Spring time patterns. We had to bounce around to a few different areas until we found a school of fish that wanted to eat. Once we located them, there were multiple double and triple hookups with fish of all sizes! The redfish are still being caught using live shrimp under corks and on carolina rigs under docks or against mud flats with oyster beds close by. There can be multiple schools of fish in the same area, so be careful when approaching a spot. Try not to spook a school! Big trout are starting to be caught in deeper water cuts and a long deep water grass lines with oysters at the base of them. It is not uncommon to find trout in the 20+ inch range! We typically catch these with live shrimp on slip corks so we can adjust the depth depending on where the fish are staging. Give us a call or message ASAP to get on the books!!!!

Happy Fish & Couple!!

Apr 1, 2024 • Mount Pleasant
The water keeps getting warmer and the fishing keeps getting better! This couple is showing off one of the many double hookups we had that day! The red drum have started to kick into their spring time patterns. We are finding smaller schools of hungry fish ready to take our baits. Shrimp and mud minnows have been the go to for the past few weeks. We will either use a Zman Redfish Eye jig head to put the baits on the bottom or use slip corks to float across the flats. Both methods have proved successful. Mixed in with these fish are nice black drum. They are always a pleasant surprise when you hook into one. Trout and sheepshead have also been around. The trout are primarily around deeper structure in 8-12 ft of water. The bull reds are starting to make an appearance in the harbor and along our jetties. You can catch these drag screaming giants on the bottom with cut bait using a Carolina rig. We suggest a 8/0 circle hook and enough weight on a fish finder rig to keep the bait on the bottom in the current. As we continue into Spring, we only expect the bite to get better! We will be seeing the toothy critters showing up soon as well! Book us today to get out on our beautiful waters and lets catch some fish!!

Early Spring Bulls!!

Mar 23, 2024 • Mount Pleasant
Cooler mornings have led to warm beautiful afternoons and the fishing is terrific. This trip’s clients wanted to find some big redfish. We did exactly that. With 9 reds over 30 inches and one doozy of a 46 inch bull red in 2 hours, they were wiped out! Early spring has the bulls hanging out at the local jetties and other known areas for bulls to be found. Live bait on the bottom or floated under corks in these areas have been the proven tactic. Be sure to have the correct size tackle to tame these big fish!! Reach out to Charleston Charter Company to get on our books and have your shot at these drag screamin’ monsters!!!
