Trip Summary
Trip Summary
A cold front brought strong winds and much cooler weather to the area for a couple days. We were still able to get out and find hungry fish that were out of the wind. They are still in their Spring time patterns. We had to bounce around to a few different areas until we found a school of fish that wanted to eat. Once we located them, there were multiple double and triple hookups with fish of all sizes! The redfish are still being caught using live shrimp under corks and on carolina rigs under docks or against mud flats with oyster beds close by. There can be multiple schools of fish in the same area, so be careful when approaching a spot. Try not to spook a school! Big trout are starting to be caught in deeper water cuts and a long deep water grass lines with oysters at the base of them. It is not uncommon to find trout in the 20+ inch range! We typically catch these with live shrimp on slip corks so we can adjust the depth depending on where the fish are staging.
