November is here but not much has changed in the fishing yet. We are still finding plenty of bait everytime we go out and plenty of fish to feed them too. Muttonsnapper, mangrove snapper, and yellow jacks have been our main targets with some good size barracudas and some grouper mixed in as well. Like I have said in my previous reports this time of the year is one of the best times to be fishing. The fishing in Biscayne bay is red hot and we are catching fish everytime we go out. This week was more of the same and we spent most of our time targeting snapper and jacks with great success. The Mutton snapper and Mangrove snapper are still chewing good and we are having no problem catching our limit and then some. The water temps are also starting to cool off and we are also staring to catch some Sea trout and jacks when the weather doesn't allow us to get to the snapper grounds. Headed out Sunday with some new clients and we couldn't have asked for a better day. The weather was gorgeous and the fish were hungry. We started off catching bait witch did not take long at all and with one throw of the cast net we had more then we needed. After catching the bait it was a short run to our fishing spots and the hungry fish waiting for us. We caught fish all day long and it took us no time at all to fill the cooler. We had a great time catching Mutton snapper, Mangrove snapper, Barracudas, and yellow jacks. By the time all the bait was gone everyone had sore arms and was ready to call it a day. The first week of October has been nothing less then sensational. The bait is here in biscsyne bay, the mullet run is starting, and the fish are hungry and waiting to eat. In Biscayne bay our target most of the days are Mutton snapper, Yellow jacks, Mangrove snapper, Barracudas. We have primarily been using live bait when we are fishing and it has produced some really nice fish. In Flamingo the fishing is also very good right now. There are plenty of Redfish and Snook cruising the shorelines looking for on easy meal and the Tarpon are showing up as well. This time of the year you can't go wrong no matter where you fish. Well like I said in my last report we are getting to that time of the year when the bait starts to show up and the fish are not far behind. This week the fishing has been great. The yellow jacks are also starting to make there appearance and we have been catching some nice ones in the 6-10lb range. Not only do yellow jacks taste delicious but they are also one of the hardest fighting fish on the flats and are a blast to catch. We are also still catching plenty of barracudas and some grouper as well. If you love light tackle fishing then this is for you and this is the best time of the year to do it.
