Captain Jon and Craig are the best! They listened to our wants and we had a wonderful fishing day. We caught a lot!

Enjoyed our fishing trip.  It was my two sons first time offshore.  Captain John and his first mate Ed were friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic.  If we find ourselves fishing in The Keys again, we will definitely book with Drop Back!

Capt Jon and TJ are top notch and provide an excellent service. We came into today with iffy weather and the gamble did not disappoint. We were on fish immediately and kept hammering them all morning. I know it’s luck of the draw when it comes to fishing but these guys definitely did their homework and put us in a great spot to have a great day.

I would recommend Drop Back Charters to anyone looking to come fish in the keys. You will be treated to a first class fishing experience.

My son, brother, dad and I fished with the Drop Back Charters crew out of Islamorada today. Very clean marina with plenty of parking. The docks are well organized and covered, there is an ATM on site at the marina office (don’t be a jerk, tip the mates healthily). The boat was exceptionally clean and Craig the mate kept cleaning all morning with each move. Very friendly and helpful crew, you can tell they do this for a living and take pride in what they do because they work hard and efficiently. We worked hard for ballyhoo for bait and chased the sail bite all morning. The birds messed with the bait quite a bit and cost us one sail. Although the winds changed last night, effectively wiping out what had been a great sailfish bite, we managed to land two nice king mackerel, which were filleted for dinner. I wouldn’t hesitate to fish with Drop Back again!

I was apprehensive with going fishing with our 2.5 year old toddler but at the harbour it was clear this was certainly a child friendly charter. Jon took my son and showed him the boat which really was a nice touch and got him comfortable with the boat before we left. My family and I had a great afternoon with Jonathan and TJ, it’s clear that they have extensive fishing knowledge and although fishing was a little slow on the day, conversation flowed naturally. Be sure to ask Jonathan why he Boat is called Drop Back! A spinner shark was hooked and that certainly got the blood pumping, I sadly lost that one but successful landed two Nurse sharks, one which a pretty good size. I’d happily book Jon next time in the Keys for Tarpon or perhaps some sailfish. Thanks again!!
