Same spot as last trip when we caught really big fluke but only shorts today. But we did catch some big seabass.

Tough day with NE winds

With the wind blowing NE 20 -25 could not get out to the ocean where the fluke bite has been good. Fished in the bay bit the fluke stayed in the ocean. Caught some dogs and short fluke, but that’s about it.

Capt. Karl bled for us as we caught ~25 dogfish… The experience was fun and learned a few things. We ended up with a wonderful fluke for fish tacos (had to throw back 5 bc too small). Great guy and a great time.

We had a great time with Captain Karl. He was knowledgeable and very nice. We trolled for stripers and caught a few and Karl was a man of integrity who followed all the fishing regulations and taught us about it as well. We will definitely come back again with hopes to go into the ocean and catch other types of fish in the ocean over the summer!
