Background
I've always loved to fish. Alot of people would even say I "live" to fish. My earliest memories as a child include a net, a fishing pole (or just line) and some form of water. I've never lost that passion at any time in my life. As an adult I have learned to accept and embrace my passion for fishing, and use it to teach others what I've learned from it all. We are truly blessed to live in an area with such an incredibly unique fishery. All within 20 miles, we have two great lakes (Erie and Ontario) and two world class rivers ( Upper and Lower Niagara). There are not many other places on earth where freshwater fishing is this diverse and available 365 days a year!
Techniques
If I HAD to choose a favorite method of fishing? I would have to say drift fishing the lower Niagara river. There is just something about having a med/light action rod in your hand while drifting down and enjoying the scenic beauty of the lower Niagara river when a walleye, bass, steelhead or other fish smashes your bait and starts screaming down (or up) the river! The most amazing part is, even after 30+ years, it just never gets old.
