As a bass fisherman this was outstanding!  In five minutes we had strong fighting fish on the line. The captain knew right where to put me and was sure to give me pointers when I needed it to catch more fish.  The deep local knowledge was apparent immediately. The spot we went to was amazing, clear water, great views and awesome banter. The fish were beautiful peacock bass that battled me all the way to the boat. Before the trip, I asked if we should go for peacock bass or tarpon. The captain said to wait untik the day before to see which was biting best. He recommended peacock bass. I’m so glad he did. He told me we would catch a lot of fish. I had an incredible day. Over 40 peacock bass in 3 hours. Largest about 5.5 lbs. I highly recommend this captain. Hope to bring my sons back to do this again.

I booked this fishing trip for my boys. Captain Paco communicated with us from the beginning about the weather and best time to catch fish. We had several bites but no successful catch, which wasn’t due to lack of effort on his part.  Captain stayed an extra 30 minutes which gave us the time we needed to get the catch we were looking for. With patience we succeeded. We would definitely book again!

Peacock bass was #2 on my bucket list.  We had an amazing time and caught so many bass. The captain knew how to maneuver the boat and the boat was perfect for my husband and I to move around on. The captain was extremely knowledgeable about fishing but also about PR and helped us to get a better understanding of PR.  He was personable and fun to be with. We will be back!!

Captain Paco Mendez knew how to get on the Tarpon.  We landed four out of eight hits, while no other boats around us landed a fish.  Excellent fishing and good conversation in-between.  So much fun!
