What a great experience. The day was overcast and misting when we started but the family was still excited to go fishing. Ended up catching 7, keeping one 4.5kg. Great conversation, the boat was spacious for the 6 we had. Clean and had all the amenities we needed with kitchenette and bathroom, comfortable seats etc. I would recommend this for young families like mine, the captain was really good with the boys, really made them feel confident while making sure they understood how to fish. Brilliant afternoon spent on the lake, for a 16th birthday present.  So nice to have a relaxed fishing experience with an absolute expert and friendly captain.  We each caught a fish and one to spare, so overall a fishing success.  Would highly recommend.

We are lake fishing novices and a bit apprehensive about how we’d fare. We had no need to worry! From our initial meeting with Richard before we set off he immediately put us at ease and his knowledge and boatmanship is top notch. Once we got to our spot he spoke to us in layman’s terms so that once we got started we were already confident. Have to say the experience was worth every dollar. No hesitation in recommending Richard to anyone wanting a charter in Taupo. Very professional and will tell any of my friends to book him if coming to Taupo for a fishing trip.
