Richard is a very personable man.  Good teacher and knows the lake well.  Between the three of us we caught eight rainbows while another three got away.  Great afternoon.

We are a family of 4 with very little fishing experience. Captain Richard was informative, passionate about the area and all things trout fishing. We loved his great sense of humour and relaxed and friendly nature right from the moment we hopped aboard White Striker IV. It was surprising how much we learnt from our morning and we are hoping to come back again and catch some more delicious rainbow trout in the future. Thank you for an awesome family trip out on Lake Taupō!

Fantastic fun outing with Richard. He is very funny with his simply clear instructions and cardboard illustration of the fishing technique. Successfully caught 3 and released another. Very happy with the trip and would recommend to anyone looking to hire a boat, captain for some trout fishing

So pleased we booked this trip.  Had an amazing 3 hours on the lake with Richards very experienced guidance to catching some decent trout.  Richard is very friendly and full of local knowledge.  He stopped by the rock carvings for us before fishing started which was awesome before heading out to do some serious fishing.  Richard made it so easy for me especially as a first timer.
