Had a great half day trip on Sunday. My anglers got blown out from offshore fishing. Its been very windy the last month and more or less 20mph just about every day. Luckily with inshore fishing we have lots of places we can hide and still have productive days! We caught live bait and had awesome tarpon action landing a couple juveniles and missing some others. Large mangrove snappers for dinner were also to be had as well as tons of jack crevles for rod bending action. We finished up with a couple of goliath groupers at the bridge we released of course. The seacraft has just been all refinished with a brand new motor and is ready for fishing! Lets get out there!

Went fun fishing the other night just to see what was happening as i had a few trips coming up. We found some local bait around which was a good sign. Getting the bait is half the battle of catching fish sometimes and when you arent out there every day the patterns can get hard to follow. But we found em and sure enough the tarpon came easy. This big girl slurped up a nice chunk of fresh mullet. We saw several other fish in the area too so if you want to try to catch a silver king while you are here lobstering or what not, an evening tarpon trip might be right up your alley. Give me a shout and lets go get after them!

Fun day today i had a half day trip. We fished locally around Islamorada. Early on things were a little slow but we kept with it. Found some good permit around one of the bridges later in the day and that made the trip! We also had good action with jacks and some other odds and ends. July still offers some good opportunities at fish and its not nearly as busy as the spring. Ive got days available and evening tarpon fishing is still a great option.

Getting jnto July and were still fishing a good bit, but business is starting to slow down a little. The tarpon are still biting though. Being summer time the big numbers of migratory fish are gone but the resident fish are definetly still around and you can have productive fishing for them. Much less fishing pressure plays a big role and often times we have been about the only one after them in a given area. Morning or evening half day trips will do the trick. It can still be good now into the Fall.

Still been fairly busy rolling through June. We just had a week of heavy rain but luckily we were still able to fish every trip. I had to move some trips around but we were able to fit them all in. Tarpon are still around... Not quite the big numbers we saw a month ago, but the ones that are here are happy and the fishing pressure is dying down so its still been productive. We got some big snappers with Byron and his family this morning too. Summer time can still be a great time to fish. If you are looking to get out give me a shout. As mentioned if you are worried about weather i am usually able to move things around and will do my best to accommodate!

Weve had quite a few permit on recent trips here in Islamorads. Lots of crabs have been floating in the bay as well as noticeably in the marina basin and on the flats. Likely giving them a steady food source. I think this will set us up for some great summer time fishing if things hold up. We havent had to go far to get shots at permit so a half day trip can work. Tarpon fishing should also stay hot through May. The evening trips are a great option for them and i have availability so feel free to reach out. Lets go fishing!
