We had a great time! First time for my sons and grandsons to experience this type of fishing. A good time was had by all!  The captain, crew, boat and gear were outstanding. Definitely recommend Southern Star to anyone!

We had a blast and I would recommend this boat to everyone. We caught our limit plus caught fish all day. We caught our snapper limit, plus Kings, Spanish and others. We fought a big shark ( we think) for 1/2 and hour ( it was like the scene in jaws where they chased it in reverse). It was worth every cent.

We had a great trip with a great captain and first mate caught a plethora of Vermillion snapper. The only bad side of it was that the seas were a little choppy for an incoming storm from a day or two ahead, would highly recommend them for any fishing trip, they made it extremely enjoyable under the circumstances.

Wonderful time with the crew. Half day trip, first deep sea fishing trip for over half our family. Captain J.R. took us to 4 different spots and Paul (“Paulie”) helped everyone with all things fishing on the deck. Every person in our party caught a fish, with my Dad reeling in a 26 lb snapper! Extremely nice, friendly and courteous. Highly recommend.

7/10 people were 1st timers, had an incredible time and caught a bunch of fish. Ended the day with landing our biggest few fish to fill out our limit of red snapper. 10/10 reccomend
