What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Bald Head Island, North Carolina for the first time?

Expect to be fishing soon after departing the dock since this is coastal fishing, bring an old cooler to transport your catch. If your trip is on Bald Head Island, park near Jules’ restaurant. You’ll be doing the fishing, unlike many charter trips you’ll be hands-on, setting the hook and reeling the fish in.

There were several charter options available when I researched for a fishing trip and had no further insight or recommendations from friends. We really lucked out on selecting Capt. Zane. It was a great experience for us all.

I found that it is better to start early in the morning, at 7 AM. Always bring sunscreen, hat, and polarized sun glasses if you have them.
