The weather was surprisingly perfect.the boat is top shelf with comfy seat,plenty of room and even had a heater up front for the morning chill.

Get a guided trip. It will help you learn what you need to know. I highly recommend Captain Gordo with GGG (Gordo's Generational Guide service). He's a great guide.
