What would you recommend to anglers fishing in St. Marks, Florida for the first time?

Fishing out of St Mark's is special due to its unique combination of bottom structure, low fishing pressure, and diverse fish populations. Apalachicola Bay benefits from outflows from four major rivers - St. Marks, Wakulla, Sopchoppy, and Ochlockonee. Just so many fish to catch with beautiful scenery!

Highly recommend the sunset cruise , well suited for all ages too . The rainbow trout we caught made an amazing dinner . Hayden is definitely a 5 star captain . Book the trip , you’ll have no regrets .

Me and my friend got lucky on the timing. The Tallahassee area was hit with multiple tornadoes earlier in the month, so my trip was canceled. The day prior to my trip, the captain said the weather was calm, but it was extremely wavy. The day of my trip, we had a few waves in the beginning, then it was perfect weather for the remainder of the trip.

Our fishing was impacted by weather conditions in the days prior to our charter. We understand that fishing can be fickle. So, we went in with high hopes, but appropriate expectations.

Pack a nice cooler and enjoy a great day on the water! St marks area is not very populated and you can have a really nice experience of old Florida with great wildlife

We had to throw back 2 trout because they were TOO BIG! We took home a lot of trout and learned to identify several other fish.

I would recommend going in the morning verses the afternoon due to the heat. It was a great time and we brought home dinner.

Stay closer to Newport but if you stay at the Holiday park in Panacea two awsome places to eat with in walking distance just have to drive a bit farther to get back to St Marks

Be patient, be prepared for hungry catfish. The reds are there just need to find them.
