What would you recommend to anglers fishing in New London, Connecticut for the first time?

Tautog is a very hard fish to hook onto but when you do its a ton of fun fighting them! With more experience fishing for tatutog I feel we will be a lot better at hooking into them

Fun restaurants are right in front of the marina. There is a very large parking lot right across from the marina that’s convenient.

I am a beginner fisher woman and I love that Allan was willing to bait the hook and take all those fish off the line for me. Allan is excellent working with beginners and he was incredibly helpful.

Half day fishing for Porgies will yield more fish than you can possibly need. If you are a first time angler definitely give it s try. Besides fish, you get a great view of the coast line.

The weather is more iffy than July-August, but the stripers should be hungry, and there's no place better than The Race for finding them.
