Go with Bosstriper. It was the most incredible fishing trip I can ever remember! From the beginning, the captain ("Boss") set the very fair ground rules. Then he set us up for a great day of camaraderie, catching hybrid bass one after the other, he was helpful at every turn, and he was sociable and had every bit of gear and bait that we needed. He took a photo with our camera and cleaned the fish professionally. To a person, we would all go back and fish with him again. We were blessed with the best fishing day ever!

FYI, the drive in from Colorado Bend State Park campsites is at least an hour to the dock meeting point.

Go with an open mind and be flexible on windy days and Captain Travis will do the rest to get you on the fish.

Water is glass smooth so does not induce sea sickness. Water is clean and pollution free. There are rental housing around it's perimeter. Area is very peaceful.

Avoid full moon by at least 1 week as fish feed at night. You'll find yourself "Fishing" instead of "catching".

Lots of activity. Water is still a little cold for using live bait so may come back in April.

Yes. We went in March, and it was very chilly. Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather.

Go with Captain Fermin. He’s been fishing there for a long time and knows exactly where to go.
