This particular day we had a early afternoon tide. I discovered it was Ms. Sue's birthday so when we finished up with our scalloping we decided to add a bonus to the trip. Sue and Beverly agreed to try red fishing. Well that worked out on the return trip we stopped at one spot and caught both of the middle of slot reds . Nicely done ladies! Our scalloping season has been very tuff this year and we have been grateful for what we have found. I have been working with FWC and the university of Florida by doing surveys and speaking with them about my thoughts of the fishery. To conclude I need to say our redfish bite has been slightly above average and will be looking forward to the fall trout bite . I will book up fast for oct and November so book now for the best dates . Let's go catching !

May is winding down and our water has been warming every day. Our spring trout bite has fallen of a bit as they start to settle in to their late spring habitat. The redfish and snook have been cooperating very well though. We are finding cobia as we hunt rock piles for mangrove snapper and grunt. The tarpon ate also here. Now is the time to book your scalloping adventures, its looking like it will be another banner year with easy limits. I can't stress enough that you need to book early these trips will fill very fast as the season approaches. We also offer half day fishing and half scalloping.

As scalloping season winds down they are still plentiful. The season will end sept 24th. We are starting to see a better trout bite as they have started moving back onto our flats. Snook season is open again and we have been finding them on our outer points of the islands. The water temp has been dropping into the lower 80s and the redfish bite is really turning on. We ate expecting a great october bite. Days will book fast so please book as soon as possible so you will get to experience some of the best fishing the nature coast has to offer. Scallops are plentiful this year and the season is looking better than the last few years . They are small and as the weeks go by they will continue to grow larger. We had a very easy morning picking a 4 man limit (8 gallons) we achieved this in about 2 hours . They water was clear with an overcast sky they were in about 4 feet of water on grass and sand beds . Come on out and enjoy the nature coast.

Our trout have started to move out of the estuaries and on to the flats this makes fishing very productive. Snook season will start in a few days and they are also showing up around the mangroves island's . Its a great time to book a trip

The redfish bite is getting better by the day ,They are moving into the estuaries to prepare for the cooler winter waters therefore they are feeding very well. We are also starting to see the trout bite start. The speckled seatrout are returning from our deeper waters and we are starting to see them in our shallower bays. Mangrove snapper have also made a great come back to our shallow rock and mangrove islands. Lots of excitement is about to happen here in Homosassa. Pick a great Capt and enjoy a great here.
