The snapper bite has been great and there have been some quality fish hitting the cooler. For yellowtail we have been chumming when the current is good and the vermillion and yelloweye snapper have been drifting on good bottom out deeper.

Not as many trips leaving this time of year but the fishing has been great. The bonitas are providing steady action close to the reef between getting king mackerel and tuna. The mahi are still offshore but alot of the fish are small as it has been tough to find quality fish this summer. Today we got luccky and caught a nice sailfish trolling the reef and threw a mutton in the cooler live bait fishing.

Its been a windy summer and having a small boat is tough sometimes when you cant make it offshore but this weekend we are having some beautiful weather. The last few days we have been catching bonitas, king mackerel, cero mackerel, and barracudas but today we were finally able to make it way offshore in seach of mahi and found a nice school of them mostly small fish but two made the cooler and there was plenty of action out there.

We found a nice hoard of lobster the first day of mini season this year and got the two man limit. The second day didn't go so well only found a few keepers so we fished for about an hour and got three mutton snapper (one was short) and a bonita.

The whole month of July has been windy for the most part and having a small boat makes it tough to get offshore so today we tried inshore and we were rewarded with good fishing. We lost a big barracuda at the boat to start the trip off than got into some jacks, barracudas, and a slot snook that was out of season so we released it but the kids were all smiles about catching their biggest fish ever.

Have not had as many trips going out lately but the days ive made it out there the bite seems to be good. There have been tuna, king mackerel, and mitton snapper on the reef and mahi offshore. The mahi are still hard to come by but if you put the time in they are there but mostly small fish.
