The bite has been a little hit or miss lately bit today we lucked out with a wahoo for our first fish of the day while trolling some deeper water and than we live bait fished some light tackle and got into some king mackerel just outside the reef. We also had a sailfish come through our live bait spread but he did not want to eat today.

We jad a very slow bite today but we did pit two nice fish on ice. The first was a wahoo we caught under a pallet on the deep troll and the second was a big amberjack off of a wreck. Dont always het the nunbers you want but sometimes quality over quantity is still a win!

Today was a rough day offshore we lost a nice fish to a pulled hook and nothing seemed to work so we headed in to the beach and hit some spots in 10-15ft of water with light tackle and live bait. It paid off with 2 nice mutton snapper and a big cubera snapper to end the day.

Overall it was a slow day of fishing but the bites we did get were quality fish and they made their way to the cooler. Nice wahoo on yhe troll first thing this morning and a bull mahi hit a live bait on a flatline drifting in 200' of water.

The mahi are still moving through and you don't need to run way offshore to find them. Today we got 5 mahi in 300' of water trolling a broken up weedline and a few on live bait. Bonitas were everywhere on the reef and we also got a big mutton and a flag yellow on a deep wreck. When the colds front move through spanish mackerel and smaller blacktip sharks are schooling up on anchovies close to the beach which makes fun on light tackle.

The weather was not looking great but the fish don't care. We had a quad hookup on tuna within the first 5min of trolling and the action did not stop. We ended up with our limit of 10 tuna and a few skipjacks. We released some large skipjacks fishing light tackle spinning rods with a live bait on a flatline and got a mahi in the mix under a frigate bird.
