This time of year the mahi are running south back towards the equater and on a good east wind they push up close on the reef to feed on baitfish. If your lucky enough to find a floater (floating piece of debris) then sometimes there will be a school of mahi swimming around it and we fish for them with live baits.

Today we went 2/3 on sailfish one was trolling and the other two on live baits. Also hot two mahi, an African pompano, and a shark. November can be a great month to fish when the weather allows it to be !

The trolling bite has still been decent for king mackerel but the live bait bite for kings and cero mackerel has been excellent. Days when the weather allows running way offshore the mahi bite has still been solid. Bottom fishing for snapper, grouper, amber and almaco jacks, and porgy has been good on the deeper spots.

The action has been great fishing for mahi this week between 8-15miles offshore. We have been catching them on live baits and trolling as well as some small wahoo mixed in. Book a 6hr morning trip if you would like to target mahi as if takes some time to travel offshore.

The tuna bite in the afternoon has been solid with some bite offs and wahoo mixed in. Mackerel, mahi, snapper and amberjacks are around as well.

Sometimes it can take alot of searching when theres not much for weeds or birds offshore but if your patient and persistent then you will be rewarded with some mahi. We found a pair on a big piece of bamboo today and hooked them up while live bait fishing. The tuna bite has been good in the afternoon when its overcast out.
