We left the dock 10:40 this morning, and was back by 12:15 with the limit of trout!! Actually left them biting!! The near-shore speckled trout bite is on FIRE ??? right now!!!

The last few days have been some of the best the year so far!! The trout are biting great, the flounder are moving in, and the reds are roaming!! Plus the wind is finally laying down enough to get out to the open water!

This past week has been a whirlwind of fish catching for these spring break families! We have not let the lack of live bait keep us from catching the tasty bay dwellers!

Started out in the back of St Louis Bay checking a couple bayous. After out what we needed to know We headed out to our original target, sheepshead on the train trestle. It was pretty much non-stop action until the tide peaked!!! We kept 6 for a meal and tossed back over 2 dozen, most of which just brushed the 14" mark. This is just a taste of our 3 hr Sheepshead trip!!

We have been having some great trips in Bay St Louis this past week! Good reds have been moving back into shallow water, trout are starting to migrate back into the bay and the puppy drum and sheepshead are getting thick!!

We were worried that Post-Hurricane Francine was going to be bad fishing, but boy were we wrong?!?! We caught fish at every stop and only had to hit 4 spots all morning to fill the box! All the schooly trout we wanted and left the black drum biting to look for sheepshead.. an awesome day!!!
