Had a great day on Lake Ida with a fun family looking to catch Peacock Bass. Before they arrived, I loaded the livewell with fresh threadfin shad (as i do on all lake ida trips)—and from the first cast, it was game on! We got on the fish early, finding a deep-water school and landing around 30 peacocks in just the first 90 minutes. Later, we headed north up the chain and worked a canal with some docks, hooking into some bigger fish to wrap things up.
