Today I had a family group of two fathers and two sons out on the lake for some fishing fun. At our first stop 13 year old Jackson hooked into a nice redfish which he expertly landed. We moved around trying to find a better bite all along the train tressel, twin span, and lakeshore estates. Our catch for the day included 5 flounders, redfish, croakers, black drum, some small speckled trout, and freshwater catfish. Everything was caught on live shrimp on a Carolina rig. A great time was had by all making family memories! I am starting my Shell Beach trips now and have some openings in the next few weeks on weekends and weekdays. The fishing will be off the charts!

Today I had as my guests Kevin and his 8 year old son Andrew out fishing to make some memories. It was a little bumpy to start out with an unexpected west wind. In spite of the wind, Andrew was reeling them in. We caught speckled trout, drum, sheepshead, and croaker. A great father and son day on the water. Starting June 1st. After last week's rain and wind, we were back on the water yesterday with Clarence and his experienced group of fisherman and we put a nice box of fish together. We had speckled trout, redfish, a bunch of flounder, back drum, sheepshead, croaker and a very rare Sturgeon which was released. We were fishing the train tressel with live shrimp Carolina rigged. The bite would come and go and by 10:00 the group had a nice ice chest of fish and were ready to head in to beat the heat. It was a great day on the water for this group of old friends. The elder in the group was 92 years old and out fished all the others. I have openings for trips in Shell Beach beginning on June 1st. This is shaping up to be a great summer.

We caught a bunch of speckled trout today at Shell Beach! The wind was up so he had to stay in protected waters but were able to find a good bite over some oyster reefs in one of the bays close to the MRGO. All of the trout were caught on live shrimp under a cork. We also caught sheepshead and white trout. The summer season in Shell Beach is shaping up to be a great season. I had a great time fishing with Ryan & Ben from Virginia yesterday. We caught speckled trout, sheepshead, black drum, croaker, and freshwater catfish. The trout were running smaller then they have been but were still a blast to catch. I have openings for lake trips through the end of May and Shell Beach trips beginning June 1.

Made a trip yesterday out of Shell Beach to find some hungry specs. The wind was blowing hard out of the east and did not allow us to fish the area we were planning to fish, so we switched to plan B and found a protected areas of the MRGO and sound some very nice specks and all the sheepshead you would ever want.
