Always remember that it is fishing and not catching. We caught three fish during our full day trip. We were able to and a Mahi Mahi, a Wahoo (King Fish) and a Barracuda. There were slow times but with the right captain and mate keeping you entertained the full day passes too quickly.

Nauti Dreams Barbados – Double Nauti
Make sure you can handle the sea! It gets a bit choppy when you are far out but the fishing is great out there.

For early in the season, my trip had GREAT results. Its called "fishing" for a reason. If you were garunteed to catch fish, then we would call it "catching"

Based on conversations with the crew, October is a bit slower fishing than summer or winter. Wahoo are available but a tough bite. Same with Mahi. Barracuda are readily available though and provide a good fight and the locals eat them. We've eaten them on the island (for the first time) and found them to be excellent. If I came back solely for fishing, I would probably come in January-February

We all got a dolphin/Mahi Mahi, each of which came in at 20 lbs+-. I have caught a 50lb striped bass and could not believe how strong the dolphin was.
