Follow instructions from the captain. When reeling in the fish, keep the line taught, but when the fish takes line, LET'EM RUN! I made the mistake of fighting and the line broke. Other than that, just enjoy the ride and experience.

First try to book Peninsula Charters, if he’s booked for that time try to change your plans to get him when he is available. We booked an eight hour trip and all three of us limited out on chinook, halibut and coho.

There are limited bag limits and size limits, which isn't an issue if you're a sports fisher and it's important for the fishery as a whole. We took home one terrific salmon and caught and released way more.
