Split Decision II – Luxurious 38'
It's cold first thing and as you head out, so make sure to have at least a sweatshirt (maybe gloves if your hands are susceptible to chill). Once the sun comes up, it's toasty so you'll need sunscreen. No bathroom on the boat and the one at the marina isn't clean (per captain), so plan ahead. Bring a bag or cooler to transport your fish.

Make sure to bring extra drinks and a cooler. only received 2 bottles of water ! A quick mention of where lifejackets are located would have been reassuring, Beware of the fillet station if you do not keep a close eye on them they will do the bait and switch! I regret not mentioning this in my review !

Daliken Sportfishing – Gaviota 26'
If staying in the San Jose Del Cabo area there's no need to drive to Cabo San Lucas to go fishing. The SF Del Cabo marina is very close and there's free parking.

Salty Dog Fishing Adventures
First time ocean fishing so fish for something so fish for what the captain recommends
We hooked on to allot of yellowfin and it was great fun they put up a great fight
A whole day trying to catch marlin or mahi mahi and possibly not catch anything can make for a long boring day

If you are hesitant just go. It's 'off shore' fishing a couple miles from land within 15 minutes of the marina.

Fishing is a hit or miss sport so do your own research before you book a trip there is no guarantee you will catch fish the captains will do their best to put you on fish but sometimes they aren't biting San Jose del Cabo can be a great place to catch fish depending on the weather and time of year please keep that in mind go luck and tight lines

Sufishiente Sportfishing
Be patient and try coming during peak fishing season October through December. This time of year the fishing is not crowded, which is nice. Try out Carlos at Capricho Sport fishing.

Seemed like the rooster tails were easier to catch closer to the beach maybe not waste so much time going for Marlin. It's a crapshoot and you gotta go way out.

Have an idea of what you're looking for. There so much to go after species wise.
They will want you to go for marlin and wahoo because you just troll and chill
But if you want to fish the reefs, the rocks, the shores, and troll you can!

Fishing is slow this time of the year, understanding that and having realistic expectations, if you're in Cabo it's still worth getting out on the water! We saw fish all day, just took a while to hook up.
