We were fishing during an unusual cold front on the island. Also very windy. We would suggest monitoring the weather and selecting a less windy day and get out of the bay. Our first booking (longer) was canceled due to wind. With a limited time we had to choose a trip that did not go out of the bay.

Try Chica Loca for a great trip. Only reason not 5 star fishing was because of windy conditions, which of course is beyond anyone's control. But Cpt Regolio came through for us.

October was great for fishing as the island was relatively dead, with less traffic and ruckus, and hotel prices (and fishing charters) were exceptionally affordable.

Make sure your booking isn't only in shore if you're looking to go out further! I didn't know what I was booking but our captain made sure to give us a great experience regardless.
