Fishing Report January 24th 7:00 AM 4 Hour Private Charter (Father & Son Birthday Trip) We had an amazing morning on the water with a father and son out celebrating the little boy’s 8th birthday. The ocean was welcoming from the start with sunny skies, light winds, and beautiful clear water, making for comfortable fishing conditions all morning. We focused on a mix of bottom fishing and jigging to keep the action consistent, and it definitely paid off. They hooked into many triggerfish throughout the trip, with steady bites that kept the rods bending and the birthday energy high. It was a fun, relaxed charter with lots of laughs, great teamwork, and an unforgettable birthday adventure on the sea.

I would definitely book Aquadventures anytime you go to Cozumel Although we were told the better fishing is March, April, May. We may actually take a trip there again just to go fishing in the future. This past January trip was an excursion through a Caribbean cruise we took last month.

If it's your first time fishing in Playa del Carmen, my biggest recommendation is to just relax and enjoy the experience. You don't need to be an expert, just trust your guides, soak in the beautiful ocean views, and have fun. Go in with no pressure, be open to learning, and enjoy every moment.

Would recommend bringing your own snacks. Consider in advance if you want to mount what you catch, does cost extra but great problem to have! If younger kids, bring something for them to do during downtime btw catching fish :)
