personally, on a slower part of the fishing season, fishing topwater only could’ve been the variable that was missing. but as we all know with fishing, anything couldve been the reason for catching no fish! outside of that, we had a great time

Cozumel Fishing
The boat is not on a dock so you need to wade out a little to get onto the boat. It’s only knee deep so you won’t get you junk wet but it’s rocky and hard on the feet so wear some swimming shoes or flip flops so you can walk on the rocks.

Heat is definitely an issue so the early start (05h30) right from the beach outside our hotel was essentially. There was an amazing sunrise and we had our lures in the water by 07h00. We fished multiple spots among the mangroves for tarpon and then moved to open water for a lot of sea trout. My son did not have much luck in the lagoon but did very well at sea. 16 fish between us.

Captain Cesar, and first mates Alex and Paco on the vessel Guapo were fantastic!! Our children had a great time and we caught a bunch of fish. Highlighted by a 40 inch Mahi Mahi!!
