weather was perfect other than some wind. seaweed seems to effect the marlin lure primarily. So it wasnt an issue

Nausea meds if you get seasick easily. drink plenty of fluids. On this trip we had good sized waves, but we all did well,Captain did great minimizing how much the waves affected us!

Yes super chill, lots of fish available, always ask the captain what is biting at that time. No point in fishing for something that isnt really there.

March is not good for Marlin and Sailfish but we caught Snapper, Yellowfin and Barracuda. The crew filleted a Snapper for us which we took back to the hotel. The local chef cooked it for us and it was unbelievable. Cooked perfect… Westin Cozumel rocks!!!

Be ready to buck big waves in the Spring. Spring seems to bring a big diversity of possibilities for fish. Patience is key. Communication with the crew is key as well. No guarantees, but these crews will try everything to put fish in the boat for you. Tip according to effort, not result. Its called fishing, and not catching, for a reason.

The fishing is great, but it can slow down if you encounter a cold front or prolonged windy conditions that rough up and dirty the water. If windy weather is expected and you're prone to seasickness, take Dramamine the night before. It will likely be rough regardless of the size of the boat you're on.

Great experience. Only unfortunate aspect of the trip was the high winds that didn't allow us to do the snorkelling portion of our charter. I am not sure if this is normal for February. Something to consider. But the captain was upfront the entire time about the winds and even rescheduled our original trip to avoid them. Amazing trip nonetheless. Highly recommend this charter.
