Would recommend bringing your own snacks. Consider in advance if you want to mount what you catch, does cost extra but great problem to have! If younger kids, bring something for them to do during downtime btw catching fish :)

Water Adventure – El Patrón
A must-do! The Captain and the first mate were excellent. It was a mother-son excursion, and my son caught a 90" Swordfish! We also caught several sailfish, and the first mate filleted them. Our chef at the resort we were staying at made us a 3-course Meal: ceviche, fish tacos, and grilled.

Predator – 34' Bertram
We opted for rod fishing versus trolling fishing so that we would have more action on our rods. And we weren't disappointed… especially with the two sharks we caught!

Dream Catcher Boat
Such a great experience. My grandson and I had success catching quite a few Mahi Mahi. The best part, we go to take home our catch from the day.

Water Adventure – Marcangel
Puerto Morelos is a great little town. Has grown a lot since we were there 25 years ago but it's still nice. Don't have to deal with the crowds like at Cancun or Playa Del Carmen. Just make sure and check to see if it is the sargassum seaweed season. It smells bad and makes the water yucky.

Dream Catcher Boat
Captain and mate were amazing. They went above and beyond to make this a trip of a lifetime with my son in law and grandsons. I would recommend this trip to anyone of any age!

Wear long sleeves, sun gets spicy. It's a boat so it will be rocky so be prepared. It's normal but take it into consideration.

Trolling was best for us, both for size and number of fish. Bottom fishing was a nice break for a little bit to try something different and catch a few trigger fish, but our favorite catches were all trolling.

Stuff It – 38' Bertram
Drink lots of water and electrolytes, and bring a big hat! The fishing is great but it's hot and humid. The Marcangel was clean, organized, safe, and well maintained. The crew was amazing.
