I’ve been on numerous different trips out of Destin over the years. And to truly get the most out of what fishing in Destin has to offer, if you’re wanting to go offshore, do the 6 or 8 hour trips rather than just the 4 hour. It’s worth it.

We caught big enough red snapper for dinner a couple of nights for our group of 10. It’s HOT bring plenty of water.

It is pretty hot and late in the summer so it can be a bit difficult to find keeper sized fish of any species. Would wear lots of sun protection and try to find cool species near sunken structure.

Respect the Captain and the boat, goes along way with having a great day on the water. If you think you might be nauseous ask your doctor about getting a Scopolamine patch. They work great. Wear a long sleeve hooded shirt. Very little shade on the boat.
