Wanted to catch a Goliath Grouper and Captain Rio made it happen.
We have taken what we have learned and caught a number of fish around our Condo.

We had a blast. Dress warm for the early morning but def gets nice and warm as the day goes on!

Weather can change weekly, I was lucky and had stable warm weather. Have realistic expectations, if your looking for a big bite, wait a couple more months. We caught plenty and had a blast.

The water is a little cold for the fish so you might not catch a lot of fish that swim in the middle or top mainly bottom feeding fish

Listen closely to instructions and ask for help and ask questions. Know you will miss some fish, but you also will catch alot, and have fun!! Also got a great dolphin show and great boat ride!

Definitely go with a guide. I am an avid fisherman in the upper Midwest but i learned a lot from the Captain about bait selection, rigging, techniques, and tides, that i wouldn't have know how to navigate on my own.
It is an investment but pays off dividends with knowledge you receive.

3 Things you need to make sure of:
1 - Check the weather often. There will be storms almost everyday
2 - Make sure you have clothing to cover all of your skin. You can change, just make sure you can cover up if needed
3 - Make sure you go with a captain who knows the area for more than a short time. Preferably a someone like Captain Del Rio
