It was late July so late in the season for red snapper and some other fish and this was more of an in shore fishing trip so you might need to go out farther for those this time of year, if that's your thing.

You won’t be catching huge fish bottom fishing. Typically it’ll just be snappers during this time of year. Trolling is definitely the better way to go due to the variety of species and shear size of the of fish.
