Super haddock day

June 4, 2025

Ran offshore about 8 miles south. Goind my wreck of choice and the day began. Large haddock22-26 inches with fee shorts mixed in. Clams and squid were on the menu. Got a very big cusk and a few cod. Cod must be released. Fishing in couple hundred feet was the magic depth. What a great time.

We took off early seas were quiet and weather fantastic. Went offshore to a wreck . Fish were off the edge ,anchored up on the edge. First drop fish on nice haddock. Kept up all day, with a few mackerel and cod mixed in. Great day great guests. Thank you crew

Just a beautiful day, light wind calm seas. Drifted rarly part of the trip. We got some nice haddock, short fish mixed in . Tode started to move fast so we moved south and dropped anchor. On the anchor we got a few more haddock, some mackerel, and a few big cod. Last minutes of the trip to finish a nice trip a big haddock came over the rail. Good trip for a half day trip. Best part was to have tha Basset family aboard

Weather was like it has been for the last weeks- that's New England for you. Left the dock with Tom and the gang for a morning Haddock adventure sea were choppy no big deal. Made our first stop hooked up quite quickly a big cod back it went. Haddock were small but we got a few nice cusk. Made the move and the bigg haddock showed up. 23-24= inches. wind came up and had to anchor bite was slow but steady . Time to go but had nice fish aboard and all had a great time. Again Toms wife baked us chocolate chip cookies has she always does-- YUM Thank You

The Meredith Jean is hauled out right now for a re-power. Putting in a more poweful John Deere for its main power plant. This is going to get us to the fishing grounds even faster. Tuna Tail Charters Deep Sea Fishing

The mackerel didn't cooperate, so we weren't able to use live bait (which is a ton of fun). Even so, we managed to get 11 stripers to the net in less than 5 hours. It was a ton of fun!!
