Man this wind!
October 21, 2023
Got a message from Shelby Thursday evening asking if we had any openings for Saturday. Their previously scheduled charter cancelled due to weather and this was her boyfriends birthday trip. Well we did have an AM trip open. But with the wind forecast I explained that it was not at our normal location. When the winds push us off the main Bay we try to go to other areas where we are sheltered from it. Shelby agreed and a plan was set in motion. I had been on a good bite in this location for the past 2 weeks. We met at 6:30am and off we went. We got near the mouth of the river before the wind kicked up too much. We started out fishing shallow but couldn't find any willing participants. As the morning got brighter we switched over to a little deeper water. Finally Kyle the birthday guy got one. The skunk was finally off the boat. After a short while we got another. Looks like the fish had decided to sleep in some. Thats ok because I was starting to see signs of life around. Birds were moving around on the hunt and bait was starting to show up near the surface. Finally everything broke loose. Birds were working in a couple different pods. Bunker was flying threw the air and Stripers were slashing at the surface. Rods were bending over 2 and 3 at a time. We caught and released numerous Stripers up to 24 inches before we finally had to head back in. Everyone caught their personal best fish and some even caught their first. They even took a couple home for diner. The weather looks to be taking a slight warm up mid week. I expect the patterns to hold for some time longer. But don't wait book a trip. Don't be wishing lets get fishing!

Rocktober
October 11, 2023
Rocktober is in full swing folks. Fished for only 2 hours last evening, but boy was it good. Caught and released numerous Stripers up to 24 inches and even had a Redfish. All fish were caught in less than 5ft of water. Shallow water is a blast. Book a trip today. Don't be wishing lets get fishing!

Let's ROCK!
October 1, 2023
Rocktober! Time for tricks and treats and Striped bass. Rockfish have started their Fall patterns. Now is one of the best fishing times of the year. You can catch them using many different techniques. One of my favorites is light tackle. This is the best time of year to learn it if your not familiar. We will also be trolling for those that just like to sit back and relax till time to reel in a fish. This time of year the fish are at their largest. Some time around mid November we will see the big ocean run fish show back up. We offer full day for half day trips. So let's go don't wait and miss out. Don't sit home wishing book a trip and lets go fishing!

Labor Day Weekend.
September 2, 2023
Well I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend for Labor Day. I sure did.We fished Saturday and both am and pm trips saw first time boaters and fishers. The cool nights and full moon sure had things messed up for the weekend but we made the best of it. Saturday am we saw few Mackerel but no Bluefish wiling to play. We split the trip and went to bottom fishing with some nice catches of spot and a few hardheads(still under size). But boy did we get a surprise with a couple of just under size flounder. They are 1 of my favorites that we don't see much of around anymore. They are tryin to make a come back tho. I think that makes 4 for this year so far. Saturday pm was a better with Spanish Mackerel and some bluefish feeling hungry. Still wasn't a really good bite like I like to have tho. But that was ok because I already had some bottom fishing planned as Jie had his 3yr. old son on his first boat ride and fishing trip. We want kids to enjoy fishing so we always prepare to bottom fish. It allows them to catch and not be bored. The fun is what we want them to remember. Fun it was they were non stop catching and Mason was steady laughing. They took home some nice fish for diner also. Well the heat is back this week. then a cool down again. This heat will turn on the blues and Mackerel. I am not sure how much longer they will stay after that hopefully awhile. Once they thin out we will target Stripers primarily also with some bottom fishing mixed in. Fall is knocking on the door and it is 1 of my favorite times to fish. It is a good time to learn light tackle jigging. As the fish school up and feed heavy. Don't be wishing book a trip and lets get fishing!

Summer is nearing the end.
August 26, 2023
Wow I can't believe its Sept. in a few days. The Chesapeake bay is living up to its name this year for sure. Salinity is up this year in the bay and that is making for some interesting catches. We are catching plenty of Bluefish and some Spanish Mackerel. There is a lot of Cutlass fish around. We have seen them flying out of the water as they feed. What a sight that is. The osprey seem to enjoy them as we have seen many being carried away for diner by them. Rockfish are also still an option. On the bottom fishing front there are plenty of spot still around and they seem to have gotten a little bigger. Hardheads also but they are still just shy of keeper size. While bottom fishing on an afternoon trip first mate Mariah caught a Blow fish while we were bottom fishing for perch and spot. Then an hour later at a different location she caught another. I have never seen them this far North in the bay before. Plenty of time to get in on the action. Book a trip today.

Wow Summer is flying by! Fishing is good folks. There's some blues and Spanish Mackerel around. We had a couple small flounder. Plenty of spot and some hard heads that are getting close to being legal size. We had a first on the boat this weekend. A Cutlass fish. Wow what a surprise that was. Mean looking creature for sure. I have heard of a few Black Sea bass caught but we haven't had any yet. Don't miss out book a trip today.
