Trip Summary
Wow I can't believe its Sept. in a few days. The Chesapeake bay is living up to its name this year for sure. Salinity is up this year in the bay and that is making for some interesting catches. We are catching plenty of Bluefish and some Spanish Mackerel. There is a lot of Cutlass fish around. We have seen them flying out of the water as they feed. What a sight that is. The osprey seem to enjoy them as we have seen many being carried away for diner by them. Rockfish are also still an option. On the bottom fishing front there are plenty of spot still around and they seem to have gotten a little bigger. Hardheads also but they are still just shy of keeper size. While bottom fishing on an afternoon trip first mate Mariah caught a Blow fish while we were bottom fishing for perch and spot. Then an hour later at a different location she caught another. I have never seen them this far North in the bay before. Plenty of time to get in on the action. Book a trip today.
